Four weeks left to showcase industry innovation by entering the 2023 TechFest Awards

The deadline for entries is 7 July and following judging, the winners are unveiled at the ceremony on 23 November at the Hilton London Bankside

This year’s refreshed categories will see technical excellence awards for both contractors and consultants, as well as awards for digital rising star, innovation accelerator, digital skills initiative of the year, product innovation of the year, technology supplier of the year and much more.

NCE editor Claire Smith said: “Each year TechFest celebrates the further integration between the digital and physical worlds in the construction sector. We take this opportunity to highlight the truly groundbreaking and game-changing technological developments from all corners of the industry, not only celebrating their work but inspiring projects the world over to push themselves to try new innovations.

“The interface between technology and construction is growing exponentially and this year’s new and revamped categories mean that we will be able to show appreciation for even more deserving projects, firms and individuals.”

There are 21 categories to enter this year. The majority focus on projects displaying the best use of technology in a wide variety of different aspects, from carbon reduction to artificial intelligence to health, safety and wellbeing and beyond.

Organisations will be recognised for their innovations in materials, products and digital skills, while two will take home the coveted consultant and contractor of the year awards for technical excellence.

For the first time, TechFest will honour an individual who will be named as the Digital Rising Star. This is an opportunity for the luminaries and forward-thinkers within our industry to get their deserved moment in the spotlight for the work they have put in to drive forward thinking in the construction industry.

So, whether you’ve revolutionised project management, implemented ground-breaking sustainability solutions, or pushed the boundaries of digital twins, there’s a category that fits your innovation.

Last year saw wins for the likes of Aecom for use of AI, Jacobs for smart data collection and XYZ Reality for site productivity, among many others.
